Job Summary

Financial Markets (FM) is the Banks gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets with an additionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Your role

You will be the supporting trader helping to manage the inflation derivative book. Business is done with both corporate and institutional customers and in various inflation indices. Next to managing the inflation risks you will be contributing to the further build-out of our inflation derivative franchise.

The inflation derivative trading desk is part of the bigger Rates trading team at ING which also includes trading teams in Amsterdam the CEE region NY and Asia.

Your key responsibilities

Servicing sales/customers

  • Assure accurate and swift pricing service
  • Build good relationships with sales internal and external customers in order to increase the franchise

Managing market risks

  • Analyse trading books and adjust positions while optimizing revenue and staying within limits at all time
  • Maintain a high focus on the different inflation markets and generate trade ideas

Contributing to the build-up of the inflation desk

  • Cooperate with internal quant teams to build/improve pricing tools
  • Further expand the mandate and unlock new inflation products and markets

As a junior Inflation derivative trader you will also need:

  • a masters degree in finance and/or Economics
  • to be fluent in English
  • relevant inflation / rates derivatives trading experience
  • very good coding (Python VBA Q) & Excel skills
  • excellent attention to detail
  • strong desire to learn explore and understand financial markets
  • the ability to take decisions under pressure and maintain the highest level of accuracy in performing the relevant tasks
  • to have a proactive behaviour with perpetual energy and drive to improve performance
  • to be an effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
