Job Summary
An AI Solutions Architect (AI SA) will be a subject matter technical expert across defined NetApp AI solutions and use cases including Generative AI Machine Learning Data Lakes and Data Pipelines. This role is key to influencing customer buying decisions through confident presentation of how NetApp will solve customer business and technical challenges related to AI adoption and scaling. AI SAs are located within assigned territory and able to travel regularly to visit local customers and partners.
Business Objectives
- Land net-new AI accounts and expand into new AI/ML/GenAI use-cases within existing accounts.
- Grow the entire NetApp AI portfolio by positioning value beyond core storagefocusing on the AI Data Pipeline GenAI solutions and ML lifecycle acceleration.
- Drive measurable AI Solutions Pipeline and AI Bookings Growth with clear alignment to AI-specific customer initiatives (GenAI pilots RAG production rollouts AI-driven analytics).
- Increase SE participation rate in AI solutions bookings ensuring strong field adoption of AI messaging and technical differentiation.
Responsibilities
- Actively coaches and mentors field teams and partners on AI/ML/GenAI workloads guiding them on how to position NetApps AI differentiation with customers.
- Partners with field teams on strategic AI opportunitiesassisting in discovery workload scoping AI data pipeline integration competitive differentiation and business relevance to secure AI technical wins.
- Engages with SEs to design and illustrate AI customer solutions including architecture for model training inference RAG pipelines and scalability considerations across hybrid and multi-cloud AI environments.
- Builds and nurtures a network of AI technical contacts within customers partners ISVs and hyperscaler alliances to foster deeper AI engagement and adoption.
- Drives AI pipeline generation in partnership with marketing through AI-focused workshops & TestDrives blogs/vlogs EBCs webinars and Tech ONTAP events.
- Proactively develops regional AI pipeline opportunities with field marketing by delivering technical enablement such as AI bootcamps RAG solution webinars and MLOps best-practice sessions.
- Stays informed on AI industry trends evolving GenAI/RAG frameworks NetApp AI product updates NVIDIA NIM ecosystem changes and competitive AI solution messaging.
Skills and Competencies
- Possesses technical mastery in AI/ML/GenAI solutions and data pipelines stays updated with AI industry trends and applies knowledge to solve client AI and data challenges.
- Ability to proactively identify and pursue new AI business opportunities demonstrating a hunting mentality to drive growth in AI/ML workloads and expand NetApps presence in the AI ecosystem.
- Demonstrates mastery in the NetApp AI portfolio (ONTAP AI AIPod DataOps Toolkit StorageGRID AFF etc) and how to differentiate them from competitor offerings while highlighting strategic alliances with NVIDIA Hyperscalar cloud providers and AI ISV partners.
- Proficient in mentoring and coaching field teams and partners helping them develop AI solution competency positioning NetApp as the trusted advisor for AI data pipeline GenAI/RAG solutions and ML training/inference workloads.
- Skilled in securing the technical AI win by engaging with customers on AI reference architectures performance benchmarks and scalability requirementsbridging business outcomes with differentiated NetApp AI solutions.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 205700 - 266200 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidates location qualifications experience and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on On Target Earnings (OTE) representing the total potential earnings which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards reflecting a variety of factors and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance Life Insurance Retirement or Pension Plans Paid Time Off (PTO) various Leave options employee stock purchase plan and/or restricted stocks (RSUs). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws regulations and company policies.
