Job Description
JourneyTeam is looking for a Modern Work and Security Project Manager specializing in Microsofts Modern Work and Security Solutions to work alongside our Modern Work and Security practice to oversee and execute successful customer this role you will manage tasks associated with the gathering of business requirements oversee project backlogs collaborate with technical and functional colleagues and ultimately deliver excellent Modern Work and Security solutions to our customers.
The Modern Work and Security Project Manager brings a knowledge of both functional and technical capabilities on Modern Work and Security solutions during all phases of client engagement. Specifically focus on Microsofts Modern Work and Security solutions as they relate to implementation and operation of these technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Dynamic Projects: Manage assignments of a dynamic nature requiring broad industry and technical knowledge of Microsofts Modern Work and Security solutions.
- Project Planning & Execution: Build and manage comprehensive project plans backlogs and sprint cycles. Apply agile and hybrid waterfall methodologies to ensure successful delivery.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with project leadership from JourneyTeam and customer stakeholders to align on task execution timelines and deliverables.
- Team Leadership: Direct project teams through all phases of implementation including scope definition resource allocation and expectation management for both internal teams and clients.
- Risk & Change Management: Monitor project progress identify and mitigate risks manage change requests and ensure adherence to budget schedule and quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with consulting leads and solution architects to design and deliver scalable secure and modern workplace solutions.
- Communication & Facilitation: Conduct status meetings discovery workshops and task breakdown sessions to drive clarity and accountability across teams.
- Professional Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional analytical organizational communication prioritization problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Travel: Ability to travel when required though travel is generally not expected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and/or 5 years of relevant project management experience in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with Microsofts Modern Work and Security solutions including Microsoft 365 and related technologies
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into actionable project tasks and backlog items
- Skilled in Microsoft Project Microsoft 365 Azure DevOps and other project management platforms
- Broad understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft environments within enterprise settings
- Solid grasp of project management fundamentals and advanced practices including agile waterfall and hybrid methodologies

Preferred Skills (not required):
- Understanding data integrations in the context of Modern Work and Security solutions.
- Familiarity with third-party services for the Modern Work and Security industry.
- Exposure to security best practices and compliance standards.
- Microsoft Certified: Security Compliance and Identity Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate.
Pathway to Success:
30 Days
- Shadow experienced Project Managers to understand our implementation processes and project lifecycle.
- Take ownership of one project as the assigned Project Manager.
6 months:
- Actively contribute to project delivery and client support efforts.
- Lead regular project status meetings and maintain clear communication of timelines and progress with stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects remain on track and within scope.
1 Year:
- Recommend and implement process improvements based on project learnings to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with key clients becoming a trusted advisor for their Modern Work and Security needs.
- Collaborate with the Modern Work and Security Practice Lead to deliver internal training sessions or workshops on project management best practices and tools.
- Provide feedback and contribute to the evolution of JourneyTeams project management methodologies and tools.
Compensation:
$80000 - $100000 annual salary.
This is the established pay range for Project Manager roles at JourneyTeam on the MWS team. Actual compensation is dependent on demonstrated skills relevant experience and alignment with the roles general new employees can expect to start at the lower end of the range (with opportunity to grow and expand within the organization).
