Driver at Rainbow Acres
The Driver is responsible for providing safe reliable and compassionate transportation services for residents (Ranchers) of Rainbow Acres in accordance with the standards set out by the organization. As a member of the resident services team the Driver serves as a role model demonstrating the values of the organization and contributing to a supportive and respectful community. He/she works within the guidelines policies and mission of Rainbow Acres to ensure timely and secure transportation for ranchers while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate facility vehicles to transport residents to jobs medical appointments community outings shopping trips and other scheduled destinations.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles including those using mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs schedules and documentation as required.
- Maintain a clean driving record throughout employment.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure safety and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding work schedules resident needs trip details and any concerns observed during transport.
Additional Information:
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a high level of responsibility and awareness.
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience in a driving or transportation role preferably within a healthcare or assisted living setting.
- Possess and maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to meet all clearance requirements including:
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Background check
- Pre-employment physical
- Drug screening
- Reference check
- Verification of absence from the Arizona Adult Protective Services Registry
- Demonstrate strong ethical standards and moral character with sensitivity to the needs of our Residents/Ranchers.
- Evidence of a strong Christian commitment is desirable and aligns with the values of Rainbow Acres.

- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record
- Must demonstrate patience empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- The ability to follow directions work efficiently and thoroughly and complete assignments
- Ability to navigate the terrain of the ranch safely and effectively.
