The Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Product Owner Manager to lead mentor and inspire a team of Product Owners. Reporting directly to the Director of Product you will be a linchpin in ensuring the successful and timely delivery of our product roadmap while also playing a very active role in the evolution of the Product Owner discipline.
Your primary focus will be two-fold: delivery excellence and team evolution. You will be responsible for providing hands-on coaching and strategic guidance shifting the teams focus from a purely execution-centric delivery mindset to a more holistic product and customer-centric outcomes focused mindset. This transition will empower the team to think beyond the immediate sprint and actively shape the products long-term success.
While you will continue to engage in tactical product work to model best practices and manage key initiatives (the Now work) a critical part of your role will be elevating the teams capacity to help define and plan for the near-term future (the Next). This means moving us from merely managing the immediate backlog to skillfully balancing and defining both the Now and Next stages of our roadmap setting a clear well-articulated path for the team.
This is a pivotal role for a leader who is passionate about product delivery and people development.
What can you expect in the role
- Ensure the squads have sufficient end-to-end product and analysis expertise to enable autonomy and ownership
- Support and help the product owners to work with stakeholders to identify challenging problems and opportunities analyse and understand current processes and systems.
- Continue to develop strong knowledge of our platform capabilities and ensure they are enabled to execute their role effectively
- Facilitate the Product Community forums structures and mechanisms for product professionalisation systems understanding and analysis competency across the squads with a focus on sharing experiences knowledge and skills
- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of Product Owner activities across the delivery lifecycle
- Recruitment onboarding engagement and retention of Product Owners
- Work with Delivery and Senior Engineering Managers to ensure product owner alignment and development to broader Tribe delivery ways of working
- Supporting Product Owners and their squads in finding solutions to complex challenges by employing best practice product and analysis approaches whilst aligned to agile delivery methodology
- At times may be asked to support in a Product Owner capacity on those initiatives or objectives that require product consultation and to maintain direct experience of the role
- Professional development of the Product Owners (coaching & mentoring development plans performance)
- Participate in leadership meetings and working groups at value stream and tribe level to provide subject matter expertise in Product Platform capability and analysis approaches

- Leads the evolution of Product Owner capability connecting with Product Owner and Manager practices across Flutter
- Actively seeks out modern product practices and training opportunities to share in the product community forums and reaches across organization and industry to identify best practices that can be brought back to team
- Facilitate the Product Community forums structures and mechanisms for productprofessionalisation systems understanding and analysis competency across the squads with afocus on sharing experiences knowledge and skills.

Wed Like You To Master In
- Knowledge of sports betting products and trading technology environments that enable these products
- Experience working in Product Engineering domains in analysis delivery product lifecycle and support of products and capabilities
- Ability to ideate and create solutions that address challenges and opportunities for our customers
- Ability to work through a large set of unknowns and translate them into Product Process or Tech requirements
- Ability to formulate and communicate strategy
- Experience of leading teams coaching and developing talent
