Job Duties
-Schedules patients and prioritizes exams based on clinical need.
-Reviews and verifies orders before beginning exams.
-Reviews the patient EMR for safety concerns that could alter the quality of the exam or affect patient care.
-Prepares patient and room for exams: explains procedure transfers patient using proper lifting and transfer techniques positions patient and assists patient as needed during the exam.
-Performs clinical evaluation of all patients and performs exams specifically as stated in the physician order.
-Observes patient and equipment during procedures and reports any unusual occurrences in relation to patient condition to the Imaging Supervisor.
-Delivers all images to PACS and the Radiologist and ensures receipt of exam dictation.
-Completes all daily tasks for optimal departmental operation.
-Reports departmental concerns to the Imaging Manager.
-Attends department staff meetings during scheduled hours.
-Assists with inventory of supplies.
-Maintains all center wide requirements such as annual employee health requirements ARWs and competencies.
