As aTechnician Internyou will learn how to operate maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in the development testing and manufacturing of medical devices. This role involves ensuring equipment functions accurately and safely performing routine maintenance calibrating equipment and troubleshooting any technical issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with engineering teams to improve equipment and processes in the lab/pilot area improving yield and/or reducing cycle time for processes that could include laser cutting welding metal forming surface treatment reflow coating etc.
  • Identify design implement equipment tooling and fixture upgrades to improve reliability of processes
  • Perform equipment corrective preventive and calibration maintenance
  • Work from schematics engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
  • Develop or revise documents and procedures
  • Organize technical documentations (manuals work instructions inventory etc.)
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.
  • Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products instruments or equipment
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering and R&D with the testing of new products
  • Observe and comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have finished at least one-year of study in an engineering majortowards an AA or BA Degree
  • Must graduate between Fall 2026- Spring 2027
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months- 1 year of experience with computers and operating systems
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th August 7th OR May 26th August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quick learner of new processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic technical writing data analysis and engineering documentation skills
  • Experience with fixture design or 3D printing using SolidWorks or other 3D CAD modeling applications
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Experience interacting with highly technical staff in an engineering lab environment
  • Experience interacting with all engineering disciplines and experience levels
  • Good organizational communication and collaboration skills

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly) non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
