Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and follow work order documents and drawings to understand splicing requirements.
- Verify incoming veneer matches all work order specifications.
- Operate and perform minor adjustments on veneer splicing machinery.
- Feed veneer into the machine with precision to create seamless joints.
- Inspect completed work for quality before releasing it to the next department.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and procedures.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- 1-2 years of experience as a Veneer splicer or in a similar machine operator role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Energetic and enthusiastic attitude with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented fast-paced environment.
- Approaches work with a high degree of organization.
- Communicates effectively in English both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
