The Intern position is a temporary 12-week role designed to introduce students or recent graduates to the property and casualty insurance this program the intern will be tasked with leading and completing a Lean Six Sigma project with the opportunity to earn their Yellow Belt certification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend Lean Six Sigma training and lead a project from inception to completion.
Interact and collaborate with internal departments to gain industry knowledge and achieve project goals.
Prepare and present project updates to senior management.
Become familiar with property and casualty insurance industry terminology.
Complete assigned trainings on property and casualty insurance industry knowledge.
Assist team members with day-to-day tasks and assignments.
Shadow team members and assigned executive mentor to gain insider knowledge of property and casualty insurance.
Network with others through participation in social company events.
Attend onboarding and training as assigned.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Sales & Marketing: As a summer intern in the Sales & Marketing Specialty Lines Department you will work on a project to enhance brand-building initiatives. Your project will focus on creating and editing marketing materials analyzing campaign performance and conducting market research and competitor analysis. You will also assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and supporting the sales team with lead tracking system updates and outreach coordination. This opportunity offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and client engagement giving you a front-row seat to how sales and marketing drive business growth.
Product Management: As a summer intern in the Product Management Specialty Lines Department you will work on a project to support the implementation of new rating programs. Your project will focus on supporting the creation of Power BI dashboards to track product performance and conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy. You will also work directly with your mentor and cross-functional teams to gather insights and identify opportunities for improvement. This opportunity will give you hands-on experience in data analysis and product management while making a real impact on Tower Hills growth and success.
