About the role
As a Senior Data Engineer you will own the executional work on building maintaining and developing our data platform and infrastructure. Build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers Veos operational backbonefrom platforms tracking sales performance and inventory levels to data products that enable automation business insights and strategic reporting across the organization.
Join at a stage where you can help build quality into the foundationworking with the team to establish robust monitoring testing and data quality practices. Youll tackle scale challenges while influencing architectural decisions and seeing your work power the operational systems that run Veos business on a daily basis.
What will you do:
- Design build and maintain the Veo data platform and pipelines from end-to-endcovering sales inventory operational metrics and customer dataensuring data accuracy availability and quality for data users across Veo
- Collaborate with business stakeholders software engineers and analytics engineers to understand requirements and optimize pipelines while propagating sustainable practices through documentation code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Develop and maintain scalable efficient and reliable ETL processes establish best practices for data ingestion storage and processing
- Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics requirements
- Proactively monitor data infrastructure troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement of data engineering practices
What could you bring:
- Proven experience in a similar role at Senior level
- Motivated by a technical curiosity with a practical approach
- A mindset of caring about value created with data for the end users both internal and external
- Extensive experience with data infrastructure and architecture at scale
- Proficient in at least one programming language preferably Python
- Fluent in SQL and you understand the internals of modern data warehouses (ideally BigQuery)
- Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills
