The Manager Rehab Admissions provides daily operational oversight management and leadership for staff of the Business Development Department whose responsibilities include meeting inpatient census goals through design and implementation of referral programs and customer service strategies. Oversees the inpatient admission process. Responsible for meeting all established admission guidelines. Manages training and develops system wide Business Development Team.The Manager Rehab Admissions is responsible to create an environment and culture that enables Frazier Rehab Institute and the UofL Health system to fulfill its mission to by meeting and exceeding its established goals conveying the Frazier l mission to all stakeholders and holding staff accountable for performance motivating staff to improve performance and being responsible for the department operations assessment and continuous individual and department improvement. The Business Development Manager has knowledge of the Post Acute Continuum of Care provision clinical cost reduction utilization management level of care transitions population management
marketing defined quality metrics continuous performance improvement appropriate reimbursement. Ensures efficient and professional services designed to meet the needs of the referring partners patients personnel medical staff students and the hospitals strategic objectives. Requires payor conditions of participation and reimbursement terms and conditions. Position requires effective continuous collaboration with physicians and all other hospital staff to address daily admission needs.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
Provides direct line supervision of an assigned group of professional clinical staff and oversight of clerical staff. Delegate responsibilities as appropriate providing administrative and clinical direction
Provides clinical supervision for provisionally licensed staff meeting both requirements of the Department and KY Certification and Licensure Board
Creates processes to anticipate and address specific admission situations within the department including observation alternate level of care long stay patients post-acute resource referral lists re-admissions denials and termination of benefits. Identify improvement opportunities within the department and at the hospital level and create and implement measur able strategies to address them
Maintains and promotes effective working relationships with medical staff and faculty (both internally and externally). Direct a collaborative relationship with medical staff residents and students that supports the hospitals objectives and develops structures that support best practice processes and facilitates participation and engagement by physicians pharmacists nurses social workers and other health professionals in multidisciplinary care planning care delivery utilization review for effective admission planning
Hires and maintains appropriate staffing ratios consistent with the needs of the organization and within budgetary parameters as well as participate in the development and administration of the budget for the department
Works closely with Marketing department surrounding all aspects of care provided at Frazier Rehab Institute and UMC.
Provides orientation and ongoing education to staff. Sets measurable performance targets and expectations for care coordination team
Collaborates with financial payer contracting and access services to support acceptable business practices for billing collection patient access and denials management along with establishing a similar message to individual payers regarding specific conditions of participation

Job Requirements
(Education Experience Licensure and Certification)
Education:
MSN MSW or Masters degree in a healthcare field (required)
Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years of related experience. At least three (3) of the years of related experience must be in a hospital setting marketing or admissions related role (required)
Experience directing a census/case/utilization management program in a complex matrix organization (required)
Licensure:
Kentucky RN license or other licensed clinical professional for example PT PTA OT SLP MSW.
Certification:
Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
