Harvest - Laborer (Ottawa Lake MI)

Details:

• Pay rate: $20/hour
• Shift:7am-7pm shifts 6 days a week when busy.
• Temporary contract position with Raise with potential for fulltime with ADM.
• Completion of Background Check required before offer.

Job Summary:

• Responsible for assisting with truck loading/unloading and storage operations.
• Assist management team with operational activities associated with the storage and moving of seed.
• Previous experience with skid steer loader and/or pay loader.
• Perform and follow all safety procedures outlined in company written procedures. Work cooperatively with management team and co-workers.
• Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Job Qualification:

• Good organizational skills Able and willing to learn new responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills candidates must meet the following criteria: Commitment to ADMS goal of achieving a zero injury culture understand and follow company procedures.
• Ability to learn and understand necessary quality controls and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to plan organize and perform with limited supervision.

Educational Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Exhibit prompt and regular attendance.

Physical Requirement:

• Able to meet physical requirements of the position including but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting working in confined spaces from heights bending kneeling climbing stairs and ladders working in a variety of conditions (heat cold dust etc.) lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Additional Requirement:

• Willing to work shift with variable start time weekends and holidays as needed.
• Willing and able to work overtime as needed during seed and harvest seasons.
• Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed.
• Exhibit a professional image at all times maintain a positive and respectful attitude
