The Vitals: What Youll Be Doing
This full-time role requires you to deliver engaging and rigorous instruction across the secondary age range encouraging critical thinking and a lifelong appreciation for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach English Language and English Literature effectively across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and GCSE (KS4) with the ability to teach A-Level being a significant advantage.
- Skill Development: Develop students analytical skills creative writing abilities and sophisticated use of language preparing them thoroughly for public examinations.
- Assessment & Feedback: Provide detailed constructive feedback on student work ensuring clear pathways for improvement and fostering a culture of high academic expectation.
- Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the English department team contributing to the planning of a stimulating curriculum and the development of rich resources.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualification: A degree in English Literature English Language or a closely related discipline.
