Maths Teacher - Battersea Wandsworth
We are actively seeking a talented and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the desirable Battersea area of Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a strong department and continue to drive high levels of achievement in mathematics.
The Role
The school is looking for a qualified Maths Teacher with experience teaching across all key stages up to A-Level. The successful candidate will be passionate about making mathematics accessible and engaging fostering deep understanding and numerical confidence in every student. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality engaging lessons in Mathematics to students from Key Stage 3 (KS3) through to Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
- Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum that prepares students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Utilizing various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities from foundational arithmetic to advanced calculus.
- Monitoring student progress providing targeted interventions and setting challenging goals to ensure maximum attainment.
- Collaborating with the supportive Maths department team to share resources and contribute to continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this rewarding position you should have:
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level with a strong ability to teach at A-Level.
- A passion for the subject and a commitment to helping every student build confidence in their mathematical abilities.
- Excellent communication organizational and classroom management skills.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale) commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
