Job Description

We are working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hounslow that is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their enthusiastic team on a part-time permanent basis starting in January 2026. Committed to providing exceptional education the school fosters a supportive and nurturing environment where every child thrives. You will inspire and engage students delivering creative and stimulating lessons that cater to individual learning needs.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities

Plan prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 2 pupils.
Implement effective teaching strategies to inspire motivate and challenge students.
Assess and monitor pupil progress providing timely feedback and setting targets for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources share best practices and support whole-school initiatives.
Maintain a positive inclusive and safe classroom environment that promotes respect and curiosity.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Participate in staff meetings professional development workshops and school-wide events as required.

Year 2 Teacher Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1 pupils in a primary school setting.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Collaborative and reflective approach to teaching with a commitment to professional development.
