The Role
The school is looking for a qualified Drama Teacher with experience teaching across all key stages from KS3 to A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves. You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality practical and theoretical Drama lessons to students of all abilities.
- Developing and implementing a creative and challenging curriculum that includes devising scripted work and theatre history.
- Directing and producing school plays and performances showcasing student talent to the wider community.
- Mentoring students and providing constructive feedback to help them develop their performance skills.
- Collaborating with other staff to promote the performing arts throughout the school.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this rewarding role you should have:
- A degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary school level including A-Level.
- A strong understanding of different theatrical styles and practitioners.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for inspiring young people.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale depending on your experience and qualifications.
