Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a well-regarded secondary school in Gloucester from January 2026. This is a key leadership position that will give the successful candidate the chance to shape the schools SEND provision and make a lasting impact on the outcomes of young people.

Full-time permanent SENCO role starting January 2026
Secondary school in Gloucester with strong inclusion and pastoral care
Senior responsibility with scope to shape and lead whole-school SEND strategy
Experience and Qualifications
Qualified teacher with QTS and NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
Strong track record of working with students with SEND in a secondary setting
Ability to lead and inspire a team of specialist staff
Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with families and external agencies
Commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners
Legal right to work in the UK
