The Role

The school is looking for a qualified Geography Teacher with experience teaching across all key stages up to GCSE and A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at making the subject relevant through local and global case studies field work and contemporary issues. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality engaging lessons in Geography to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.
• Developing and implementing a dynamic curriculum that covers essential physical and human geography topics emphasizing sustainability and global interdependence.
• Thoroughly preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations ensuring strong attainment and critical thinking skills.
• Organizing and leading local fieldwork opportunities utilizing Lambeths unique urban environment as a living classroom.
• Collaborating with the Humanities department to share resources and contribute to a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this rewarding position you should have:

• A degree in Geography or a closely related environmental/social science discipline.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
• Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level with a strong ability to teach at A-Level.
• A comprehensive understanding of the current curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills with a passion for global issues.

Salary & Application

The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale) commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
