The Role
The school is looking for a qualified Maths Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (GCSE). The specific part-time timetable will be agreed upon with the successful candidate offering flexibility. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in Mathematics to students up to GCSE level.
- Utilizing effective teaching strategies to help students of all abilities build confidence and achieve strong results.
- Monitoring student progress providing accurate assessment and implementing targeted support when necessary.
- Collaborating with the Maths department team to share resources and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance progress and attainment.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this part-time position you should have:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level specifically up to GCSE.
- A genuine passion for the subject and commitment to student achievement.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills adaptable to various timetables.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position will be competitive paid pro-rata to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale) commensurate with your experience and hours.
