Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacherto join our thriving and forward-thinking Primary School in Rochester. This is a permanent role starting ASAP offering the opportunity to support and inspire pupils at a key stage in their early education.
Key Information
- Position: Year 1 Teacher
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Working Pattern: Full Time Term Time Only
- Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
- Suitable for: Experienced or Early Career Teachers (ECTs welcome)
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our Key Stage 1 team. As a Year 1 Teacher you will play a crucial role in helping pupils transition smoothly from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. You will deliver engaging and creative lessons that nurture curiosity independence and confidence laying the foundations for future learning.
The successful candidate will embrace the responsibilities of a Year 1 Teacher working closely with colleagues parents and the wider school community to ensure all children achieve their full potential academically socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for pupils as a Year 1 Teacher
- Support and challenge learners of all abilities to reach their potential
- Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment as a Year 1 Teacher
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues parents and the wider school community
- Contribute to the schools ethos of ambition high standards and achievement
