Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities

Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 1 pupils
Implement effective teaching strategies to inspire and motivate learners
Assess monitor and report on pupil progress providing constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
Maintain a safe inclusive and positive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupils learning
Participate fully in staff meetings professional development and school events

Year 1 Teacher Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse pupil needs
Commitment to continuous professional development
Flexible reflective and collaborative approach to teaching
