Job Description
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge that is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time role offered initially on a 1-year fixed term contract with the strong potential to become permanent.
The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 learning committed to high standards and eager to contribute to a vibrant and supportive staff team.

Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
Deliver inspiring differentiated lessons to engage and challenge Year 5 pupils.
Assess track and report on pupil progress in line with school policy.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect resilience and collaboration.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan schemes of work and share best practice.
Build strong relationships with pupils parents and staff.
Participate fully in staff meetings school events and professional development opportunities.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching at Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A team player with a commitment to the schools ethos and values.
Passionate about inspiring and motivating pupils to achieve their best.
