English Teacher - Sutton South London
We are actively seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join a highly desirable secondary school in the borough of Sutton. The Role
The school is looking for a qualified English Teacher with experience teaching across all key stages up to A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at inspiring critical thinking sophisticated analysis and strong writing skills. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality engaging lessons in English Literature and English Language to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.
- Developing and implementing a diverse curriculum that encourages deep textual analysis and creative expression.
- Thoroughly preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations with a focus on achieving excellent results.
- Contributing to the departments collaborative environment by sharing innovative teaching resources and pedagogical best practices.

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this superb position you should have:
- A degree in English Literature English Language or a closely related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level with a strong ability to teach at A-Level.
- Deep subject knowledge and a genuine passion for academic excellence and inspiring young readers and writers.
- Excellent communication written skills and classroom leadership abilities.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Outer London pay scale) commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
