JOB TITLE: Aircraft Electrical Mechanics LVL 1 - DEFENSE
LOCATION: San Antonio TX
PAY RATE: $33/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.
Job Details:
Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift: Rotating (1st 2nd or 3rd; weekends/OT as required)
Clearance: Must be U.S.-born no dual citizenships. Ability to obtain TS clearance during onboarding.

Summary:
Perform or assist with electrical modifications installations and repairs on and off aircraft.
Support connector terminations (shielded wires coax fiber optic) routing sealing wrapping and bonding of harnesses and cables.
Read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders and specifications for modifications/repairs.
Assist with troubleshooting operational testing and modification of aircraft electrical systems at depot/organizational levels.
Use precision measuring instruments gauges and tools to ensure quality compliance.
Adhere to safety Hazardous Energy Lock Out/Tag procedures and Tool/FOD control standards.
Support and collaborate with team members (General Mechanics Structures Avionics) to meet cost/schedule targets.
Maintain required certifications licenses and safe handling of tools equipment and hazardous materials.
Responsible for accurate work performance and prudent handling of product and equipment.
Requirements:
Must be U.S.-born no dual citizenships. Ability to obtain TS clearance during onboarding.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
1 years of experience performing described duties.
1 years of knowledge in electrical/electronic theories and systems.
Ability to work rotating shifts (1st 2nd or 3rd).
Regular and predictable attendance required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Physical Requirements:
Ascend/descend ladders work in confined spaces and lift 35 lbs (two-person lift for >50 lbs).
Frequent standing walking overhead reaching balancing bending/stooping squatting crawling and head/neck rotation.
Operate foot controls for extended periods.
Exposure to noise metals and elevated platforms.
Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests; use PPE as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Depot Level/Modification maintenance.
Ability to operate forklift mobile crane and powered elevating equipment.
