Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Buyer I
Location: Newport Beach CA 92660
Duration: 3 months Contract (Good Possibilities of extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Create review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in Coupa.
- Manage approvals and workflows in alignment with corporate procurement policies.
- Source products and services from approved suppliers; ensure compliance with contracts and preferred supplier lists.
- Monitor order status resolve discrepancies and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Act as first-line support for employees submitting requests through Coupa (punch-out orders non-catalog requests invoice issues).
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and ensure Coupa master data (supplier records) is up to date.
- Support sourcing initiatives and work with category managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide training and guidance to end users on Coupa best practices.
The experience you bring:
- Bachelors degree in business Supply Chain Procurement or related field preferred
- 2-4 years of purchasing/procurement experience; Coupa experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes supplier management compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong skills in PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal leadership and communications skills.
What makes you stand out:
- Coupa Buyer and/or Coupa Admin certification a plus.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Alteryx PowerBI).
- Experience with indirect procurement categories (IT marketing professional services facilities etc.).
