Site: Fort Belknap Hospital
Location: 669 Agency Main Street Harlem MT 59526
Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of a 4 years extension.
Shift Schedule: Coverage supports 24/7/365 radiology services.
Typical pattern:
Weekend hours: Fri 7:00 p.m. Mon 8:00 a.m. (includes 10 hrs Sat 10 hrs Sun; remaining as callback OT)
Weeknights: Mon Thu starting 7:00 p.m. 10 hours (callback OT)
Additional day: One 10-hour day shift as scheduled
Holidays: 10 hours remaining as callback OT
Schedules set by Program Manager; standby/callback as needed.
License /Certifications:
- Active current unrestricted Radiology state license (any U.S. state/territory/DC/PR) and/or ARRT (R); Montana license and/or ARRT (R) required
- BLS (current).
Education:
- Education and formal training sufficient to meet ARRT (R) eligibility/registration and state licensure.
Minimum Qualification/ Experience:
- Demonstrated competency and recent experience performing diagnostic radiographic exams for outpatient clinics inpatient wards and the emergency department.
- Proficient with RPMS and PACS workflows (exam completion routing for radiologist read documentation).
Responsibilities:
- Perform and complete a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations (e.g. skull facial sinuses spine pelvis abdomen chest extremities) including adjustments for trauma/limited-cooperation patients; provide emergency care across all ages.
- Verify orders/requisitions prepare/position patients educate using clear lay terms and correlate clinical history to achieve optimal imaging.
- Radiation safety: proper exposure/coning wear dosimeter; ensure equipment cleanliness daily QC/calibrations log errors and coordinate service; verify post-repair QC before returning to use.
- Manage workflow and scheduling (including priority/emergent add-ons and travel constraints) for efficient use of limited time.
- Documentation: 100% compliance with IHS Joint Commission and CMS standards (timeliness accuracy legibility date/time/signature/profession).
- Maintain confidential handling of PHI per HIPAA/Privacy Act; comply with IHS IT security policies and facility procedures; wear government-issued ID badge.
- Demonstrate professionalism cultural awareness and effective team communication with Native American/Alaska Native patients/families and the care team.
- Meet deliverables: accurate timekeeping; monthly data reports (hours by CLIN invoice estimates); notify CO/COR at 75% of authorized hours/funds; submit invoices via IPP with verified timesheets.
