Job Summary
RN- Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg (Rotating Shift)
Location: Gainesville FL 32601
Shift: 12-hr Variable
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition upon admission and during every scheduled shift
- Promptly identify and report any changes in patient status to appropriate medical personnel
- Perform ordered procedures and monitor patient responses
- Accurately and promptly document all care and interventions in the patients medical record
- Administer prescribed medications and assess the patients therapeutic response
- Take immediate action if adverse effects or complications occur
- Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate patient needs
- Educate patients and their families/caregivers on:
- Medical condition
- Treatment plan
- Medication regimen and side effects
- Follow-up and discharge instructions
- Translate complex medical information into clear and understandable language
Required Qualifications:
- Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience within the past 4 years
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Registered Nurse License (State of Florida)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must be obtained within 90 days of employment
- Graduate of an accredited RN Diploma or Nursing program
