Nuclear Med Tech (Day Shift) Location: San Angelo TX 76903
Shift: 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Essential Functions:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to physician orders and exam protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of radiation dose reference levels monitoring and follow-up when limits are exceeded.
- Use AIDET communication framework to ensure patient satisfaction safety and correct exam performance.
- Explain procedures to patients and families assess ability to tolerate exams and provide appropriate instructions.
- Prepare patients and procedure areas position patients adjust equipment and set proper exposure factors.
- Maintain sterile technique for invasive procedures and follow infection-control and radiation safety policies.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and functional; report issues and coordinate with engineers/physicists for maintenance.
- Manage supplies and inventory to support smooth department operations.
- Provide emergency care when needed including first aid and use of crash cart.

- Ability to perform quality imaging procedures quickly and accurately.
- Strong patient care skills-able to put patients at ease and explain procedures clearly.
- Professionalism under stress; effective problem-solving and service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and ability to provide appropriate care for all age groups (newborn to geriatric).
- Commitment to ongoing education and maintaining current technical knowledge.
Certification / License / Registration:
- New Graduates Accepted
- Current state licensure and/or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (ARRT-N or NMTCB preferred).
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
