Job Description
Role: AWS Architect - Devops
Duration: 6 months (long-term approved through end of 2026)
Location: Reston VA - 11951 Freedom Dr Ste 900 - 4 Days onsite Open to Philadelphia PA
Interview Process: 2 rounds (1st with Architect 2nd with team panel)
Overview:
We are seeking an AWS Architect IV to join Clients centralized observability platform team. This group is responsible for providing logging metrics and monitoring solutions that power production applications and AI systems across all Client subsidiaries. The Architect will be the lead AWS resource designing robust scalable cloud architectures while collaborating with developers and other observability architects to optimize existing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement AWS cloud architectures to support observability and monitoring solutions.
Review current systems and recommend improvements to increase efficiency reliability and scalability.
Collaborate with software developers product managers and other architects to align architecture with business and technical needs.
Lead design discussions and provide guidance on observability tools integrations and cloud-native practices.
Support CI/CD pipeline development automation and cloud deployment strategies.
Ensure best practices in security scalability and resiliency are embedded in all solutions.
Top Skills Required:
Proven AWS Architect experience (designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions).
Strong knowledge of observability tools (ElasticSearch OpenTelemetry).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD Kubernetes Docker Terraform/Ansible and automation frameworks.
Background in system health monitoring logging and troubleshooting in large-scale environments.
Strong communication skills with ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
4 years professional DevOps/Cloud Architecture experience.
Strong Linux/Unix administration background.
Familiarity with databases (Postgres MySQL Redis) and microservices architecture.
Experience in Agile development environments.
