Job Description
What You Will Do
-
- Design basic to moderately complex tools fixtures and jigs for production and assembly use.
- Use 3D CAD software (Creo Fusion 360 SolidWorks) to model tool designs.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers (FDM SLA or others) to produce physical tools.
- Modify existing tool designs based on user feedback and production requirements. Iterate quickly on prototypes to validate function form and fit.
- Work closely with production teams to understand tooling needs and improve workflows.
- Document design files revisions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist the production team with general continuous improvement projects.
What You Bring

- 2 years of experience with 3D modeling and slicing software.
- Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting 3D printers.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design and how parts fit and function together.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with continuous improvement practices in a factory setting is a plus.
- Associates degree in Drafting Mechanical Technology Industrial Design or a related field. OR
- Technical certification or equivalent hands-on experience in 3D printing and CAD.
