Job Description

What You Will Do

    • Design basic to moderately complex tools fixtures and jigs for production and assembly use.
    • Use 3D CAD software (Creo Fusion 360 SolidWorks) to model tool designs.
    • Operate and maintain 3D printers (FDM SLA or others) to produce physical tools.
    • Modify existing tool designs based on user feedback and production requirements. Iterate quickly on prototypes to validate function form and fit.
    • Work closely with production teams to understand tooling needs and improve workflows.
    • Document design files revisions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Assist the production team with general continuous improvement projects.

What You Bring

    • 2 years of experience with 3D modeling and slicing software.
    • Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting 3D printers.
    • Basic understanding of mechanical design and how parts fit and function together.
    • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Comfortable working in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with continuous improvement practices in a factory setting is a plus.
    • Associates degree in Drafting Mechanical Technology Industrial Design or a related field. OR
    • Technical certification or equivalent hands-on experience in 3D printing and CAD.
