An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join a well-established engineering company at their York depot.

This role will see you providing key administrative support to the team ensuring smooth operations and accurate record-keeping within a busy engineering environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience within an engineering manufacturing or similar environment and be confident taking ownership of office administration tasks.

If you are proactive organised and enjoy working in a small close-knit team where everyone contributes youll fit in well.

Strong IT skills good communication and the ability to work without needing direction is essential.

Some of the Depot Administration Assistant duties include:

  • Issuing job numbers to tasks and updating internal asset maintenance logs
  • Developing and maintaining period reports to highlight trends failures and improvement recommendations
  • Checking completed maintenance records for compliance and uploading them to the Fleet Asset Management System
  • Raising processing and closing out work orders including spares materials and labour details
  • Running reports from the client system to support KPI reporting
  • Assisting Project Engineers with fault coding risk scoring and fleet modifications
  • Carrying out stock takes and monitoring auto-replenishment processes to maintain depot stock levels
  • Providing general administrative support including document logging purchasing scanning filing and retrieval
  • Supporting the office team with day-to-day tasks as required

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7:30am-3:45pm and Friday 7:30am-2:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day earning a salary of 23953.80.
