Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking an Alaska Workstream Product Ownerto join our team of qualified diverse individuals. The ideal candidate willserve as theprimary liaison between FAA stakeholders engineering teams and program leadership ensuring that requirements unique to Alaskas operational environment are effectively translated into deliverables. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.

In this position you will:

  • Manage the product vision roadmap and backlog enabling deployment of solutions that enhancesafety resiliency and communicationsin one of the most challenging aviation regions in the world.

  • Serve as theProduct Ownerfor the Alaska modernization workstream within FAA programs.

  • Define maintain and prioritize theproduct vision roadmap and backlogaligned to Alaskas operational needs.

  • Translate stakeholder requirements intouser stories features and epicsfor engineering teams.

  • Collaborate withFAA leaders local operators and technical expertsto define priorities and ensure alignment with mission objectives.

  • Support the deployment ofinfrastructure communications surveillance and navigation solutionsspecific to Alaska.

  • Leadbacklog refinement sprint planning and release prioritizationwith Agile teams.

  • Ensure solutions comply withFAA safety standards cybersecurity frameworks and resiliency requirements.

  • Provideprogress reports KPIs and value delivery metricsto FAA leadership.

  • Identify and managedependencies risks and mitigation strategiesfor Alaska programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to managecomplex product backlogs and feature prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with experience briefing executives.
  • Ability to work inmulti-disciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience; or Masters degree and 10 years; or Associates degree and 14 years experience; or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.
  • Product ownership systems engineering or aviation program management experience.
  • Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum SAFe or equivalent).
  • Strong background in aviation systems infrastructure or communications technologies.
  • Familiarity with the unique aviation challenges (remote operations extreme weather limited infrastructure).
  • Experience in federal IT or aviation compliance standards (NIST RMF FISMA SMS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience.
  • Experience withFAA acquisition processes AMS standards and safety frameworks.

  • degree inSystems Engineering Aviation Management or Business Administration.

  • Certifications such asCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) SAFe POPM or PMP.

  • Experience supportingFAA NextGen or Alaska aviation modernization initiatives.

  • Background incommunications surveillance or navigation systemsrelevant to Alaska operations.

  • Familiarity withinternational aviation standards (ICAO ITU-T).

  • Experience working directly withregional operators airports or state aviation authorities.

Target Salary Range

$104000 - $166000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
