The Opportunity:
As the Childrens Center Food Service Worker you will work under general supervision of the Assistant Director to receives and distribute prepared meals from Dining Services. You will be responsible for record keeping of temperature logs menu adjustments inventory and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)reporting requirements. You will prepare food substitute preparation for allergen and intolerance deliver meals to classrooms and clean the kitchen and wash dishes after meal this role you will maintain safe sanitary and quality control standards.

This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3189 to $4216 Range 35 Steps A - M Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Possession of or eligible for at time of hire a food handlers permit; OR equivalent education/experience.
Satisfactory background check through the Washington Department of Children Youth and Families at time of hire.
Proof of measles (MMR) vaccination or other acceptable documentation as established by the Washington Department of Health and Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 43.216.690.
Negative tuberculosis (TB) test within previous 12 months in accordance with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) .
Preferred Qualifications:
SERVsafe certification
Experience in child care food management
Working knowledge ofChild and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
Experience with food allergies intolerances and dietary preferences
Experience working with children
General knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment use and safety
Experience leading and training employees.
