Job Title: Facilities Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Hours: 40 hours per week- including weekends

Job Summary/Property Values: The Facilities Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness organization and guest-ready presentation of Goodstone Inn & Restaurants exterior areas pool Carriage House and other designated common spaces. This position is responsible for maintaining a pristine welcoming environment for guests while supporting smooth daily operations through attention to detail and proactive upkeep.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

General Upkeep & Housekeeping

Vacuum mop and deep clean all floors rugs and soft furnishings.
Straighten and maintain furniture décor pictures and accessories for a guest-ready appearance.
Keep windows mirrors glass doors and light fixtures clean and polished.
Dust all surfaces including fixtures ledges vents baseboards and ceiling fans.
Maintain supply closets by restocking toiletries cleaning supplies and service materials.
Promptly report maintenance or safety issues.
Support special event setup and tear-down.
Assist other departments with general upkeep needs.

Pool & Changing Room Care

Clean stock and refresh pool changing rooms with towels toiletries and supplies.
Arrange clean and maintain pool furniture (cushions umbrellas frames and surfaces).
Sweep hose down spot-clean or power wash the pool deck and walkways as needed.
Perform seasonal preparations for pool areas (opening closing weather adjustments).

Carriage House Maintenance

Remove and replace all trash liners; keep receptacles empty.
Restock and refresh bathrooms with supplies.
Vacuum mop and arrange furniture for a guest-ready appearance.
Wipe down and polish glass mirrors fixtures and high-touch surfaces.
Conduct deep bathroom cleaning including grout partitions and fixtures.

Grounds & Exterior Upkeep

Conduct daily exterior walk-throughs of the property.
Collect debris and empty exterior trash receptacles (grounds parking lots pool Carriage House areas).
Clean and inspect outdoor lighting signage and landscape features.
Maintain windows and glass on exterior structures.

Periodic Deep Cleaning & Seasonal Work

Shampoo or steam clean carpets and upholstery.
Rotate rugs and deep vacuum soft furnishings.
Perform detailed cleaning of storage and back-of-house areas.
Organize supply areas and replenish inventory.
Adjust outdoor areas for seasonal needs (pool season weather changes).

Preferred Education and Experience:

Previous custodial facilities or housekeeping experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. bend and perform repetitive tasks.
A team-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Physical Demands:
An employee must be able to meet the physical demands of an outdoor work environment including lifting at least 50 pounds. Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is situated on 265 acres offering access to a pond hiking trails and lakes. The employee must be able to navigate this environment physically.
