Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced software tester who will work as part of a small Agile development team on the Intelligence Situation Awareness Tool (ISAT) this role is on-site in Santa Clara CA.
The Tactical Data Processor (TDP). ISAT works with tactical data in a variety of formats and provides a rich set of analysis tools to help operators see the big picture. The development team supports the implementation of new system behavior and defect corrections to existing system behavior. ISAT supports multiple missions primarily for the Navy including the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program part of the Navys Tomahawk Missile program. As a member of the ISAT team you will be responsible for understanding and testing the new capabilities and defect fixes.
What youll do:
- Learn ISAT features and functions including developing an understanding of tactical data
- Learn the program processes and procedures
- Develop and execute manual tests following project conventions to verify new system capabilities and bug fixes based on system change definitions
- Report test findings and document new errors per project conventions
- Understand ISAT configuration
- Provide or validate estimates for assigned tasks
- Contribute to the evolution of the project standards and conventions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g. Sprint Planning Daily Stand-up) and technical exchange meetings with the customers
Qualifications
What youll need:
- Experience: 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
- Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have an active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Experience as a software tester
- Strong analytical andwriting skills
- Ability to follow procedure and to work within a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with configuration management tools including Azure DevOps
The following knowledge and experience are a plus:
- An understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies including Agile
- Familiarity with C# or C
- Familiarity with software installation procedures using Ansible
- Understanding of STIGs and cybersecurity best practices
- Military background in command and control communication computers intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR)

Target Salary Range
$80000 - $128000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
