Job Summary and Responsibilities
The EKG Technician performs EKG and late potential analysis procedures responds to all cardiac resuscitations processes necessary paperwork and assists with patients physicians and other department personnel within the framework of the philosophy and policies established by Saint Bernardine Medical Center. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Centers strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.
Job Requirements
- Certificated Class in EKG OR 1 year EKG experience.
- Ability to type 25 to 30 words per minute.
- Knowledge of the alphabet and ability to file accurately.
- Ability to work with the public in a busy environment with tact and diplomacy.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Working knowledge of computers.
