Job Summary (purpose):
Colgate-Palmolive is looking for a Network and Information Security Specialist to join its growing Global Information Security organization. The position will work closely with Global Network and Information Security teams. This challenging position requires in-depth experience and knowledge of both Network and Cyber Security Technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Global Network & Global Information Security technologies.
Additionally knowledge of cloud networking and automation skills using Python would be highly beneficial. The Network and Information Security Specialist is experienced in network architecture design engineering and supporting network & security configurations over hybrid environments that include on-premise and public clouds such as GCP.
The candidate should be comfortable in playing a lead role towards the evolution of technology deployments across the global footprint.
Responsibilities:
Architectural understanding of Datacenter and Cloud network and correlation with different components of IT.
Architectural understanding of Landscape (LANWANWirelessFirewalls)
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems related to Datacenter networks /cloud using synthetic and traditional monitoring tools
Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and perform network modeling analysis and budget planning.
Monitor and analyze network performance and data input/output reports to detect problems
Upgrade network hardware and software components as required
People development and management
Escalationbusiness reviews and analytics
Ability to coordinate with Vendor TAC cases for resolution of the issue
Ability to analyze data and come up with trend analysis
Required Responsibilities:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations with specialized experience in configuring and managing network devices such as routers switches VPNs and firewalls
Experience in managing global network operations in a complex large-sized environment
Experience in configuration and management of Cisco networking devices
Experience in querying and analysis in a SIEM tool (Splunk experience preferred)
Experience in managing and maintenance of network systems: LAN WAN SD WAN internet circuits and Wireless access points
Familiarity with synthetic monitoring and alerting configuration associated with network and application technologies
Familiarity with OT network design expertise a plus
Familiarity with Network Firewall rule design and implementation a plus (Palo Alto Networks preferred)
Security Operations Center Level 1 analyst experience a plus
Experience working with Cisco Prime and/or Cisco Identity Services Engine a plus
Ability to understand LAN Wireless TCP/IP & IP Addressing terminology and correlate with production environment
Should have strong fundamental knowledge of routing switching and security protocols
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems related to site LAN and Wireless.
Monitor and analyze network performance and data input/output reports to detect problems
Prepare detailed network specifications including diagrams equipment configurations with defined LAN & Wireless standards
Implement network Switches Wireless controller and Access point solutions as required
Implementation of HSRP EtherChannel VLAN and VTP
Implementation of Trunking Spanning tree and Access lists
Implementation of SSH SNMP DHCP QoS technologies
Administration of
Cisco Switches ( 93XX 94XX 95XX series)
Wireless Controllers and Access Points
WLC 3504/5508/5520/8540/9800
AP 28XX/37XX/38XX/91XX
Administration of Cisco DNAC and Cisco ISE as AAA
Coordinate with Cisco on TAC cases for resolution of the issue
Ability to identify analyze and resolve problems logically
Ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause
Hands on experience on Cisco Wireless Controllers and Access points
Hands on experience on Wireless Implementations & Troubleshooting
In depth knowledge of troubleshooting wireless issues
Hands on experience on tools like Cisco Prime DNA Center and Cisco ISE as AAA
Understanding of network sniffers WireShark captures
Palo Alto SDWAN & Firewall-Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
L2 network Consultant should be proficient in WAN technologies
Ability to understand WAN TCP/IP & IP Addressing terminology and correlate with production environment
Should have strong fundamental knowledge of routing switching and security protocols
Need to be proficient in SDWAN architecture implementation and troubleshooting ( Palo Alto SDWAN experience is preferred)
Need to be proficient in Palo Alto SDWAN policy configurations
Need to have basic fundamentals about Palo Alto Firewalls their administration and configurations
Need to have basic fundamentals about SASE their administration and configurations
Need to be proficient in static and dynamic routing protocols
Need to familiar with concepts like MPLS DIA & Broadband and troubleshooting experience with the same
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
Minimum 3 years of experience in Network & Security technologies
Strong understanding of Network & Security fundamentals
Good understanding of cybersecurity technology architecture and best practices
Modern networking knowledge and understanding (OSI TCP/IP switching routing firewalling NAT proxies IDS/IPS WAFs CDNs SSL/TLS etc...)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA ( Must to have) and CCNP & PCNSE( Preferred )
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages like Python
Experience working with cloud environments (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
