This is not a typical developer roleits an architecturally influential position for a seasoned engineer ready to help shape enterprise AI through rapid prototyping and agentic frameworks.
You will partner with JAGGAERs Chief Data & AI Office (CDAO) to design and test cutting-edge AI-driven workflows that redefine how enterprises engage with procurement. Your work will translate big ideas into working prototypesbridging theory with hands-on engineering.
If your experience is primarily feature development or you are looking for a first exposure to AI tools this role will be overwhelming. But if you have spent a decade-plus building and scaling systems end-to-end experimenting with new frameworks and influencing architectural direction youll thrive here.
Principal Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
- AI-Driven Prototyping & Experimentation:
- Rapidly build proof-of-concepts integrating Java-based backends frontends and LLM/AI tooling.
- Experiment with agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph AutoGen CrewAI LangChain) to validate novel enterprise use cases.
- Full-Stack Engineering Leadership:
- Architect scalable APIs and services in Java (Spring Boot Micronaut or Quarkus).
- Model and optimize SQL/NoSQL data structures (PostgreSQL MongoDB Redis Cassandra) for embeddings vector search and AI-driven workflows.
- Develop intuitive UIs in React Angular or Vue to test agent-based interactions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with architects and ML engineers to assess emerging frameworks and productionize the best candidates.
- Translate architectural hypotheses into working code providing evidence for future platform direction.
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 12 years full-stack development experience with clear evidence of senior-level ownership.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java (Spring Boot Micronaut Quarkus).
- Strong database expertisedesign scaling performance optimization.
- Frontend proficiency with React Angular or Vue; demonstrated sensitivity to UX.
- Proven experience building and deploying cloud-native solutions (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Exposure to AI/LLM tools: vector databases (Pinecone Weaviate) embeddings and orchestration frameworks.
- Rigorous standards for performance testing maintainability and security.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field (Masters preferred).
- Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on contributions to open-source projects or published prototypes.
- Prior experience building prototypes that directly influenced platform roadmaps.
- Deep passion for AI emerging technologies and building what hasnt been built before.
