Job Description
Join our team as a Hybrid Developer & HPC Linux Systems Analyst where you will design develop and optimize solutions for high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This position blends Python development with Linux system administration to deliver efficient scalable and secure compute platforms. We are looking for an innovative professional who can bridge the gap between development and operations in support of mission-critical workloads.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation tooling and workflows in Python to support HPC operations job scheduling and resource optimization.
- Administer Linux systems (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu or similar) in HPC and clustered computing environments.
- Configure and manage HPC schedulers and workload managers (Slurm PBS Pro Torque or similar).
- Troubleshoot performance and stability issues in HPC clusters storage systems and compute nodes.
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for system health job queues and resource utilization.
- Support integration of HPC applications libraries and frameworks across Linux platforms.
- Enforce and maintain security controls in HPC environments including patching access controls and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with researchers developers and system engineers to optimize applications for parallel and distributed computing.
- Document HPC system architectures workflows and operational procedures for long-term maintainability.
