JOB TITLE: Inpatient Medical Coder III
This is a remote position with an initial onsite training period of approximately one month at our Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth VA location. After successful completion of training the role transitions to a fully remote schedule.
To help offset travel and lodging costs during training we provide reimbursement for eligible expenses up to a pre-approved budgeted amount.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Medical Coder III position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate medical coding and documentation. This involves handling complex case scenarios applying a combination of facility coding and professional coding and aligning with industry standards like ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS codes. The coders will facilitate proper documentation and communication with medical staff to enhance compliance and coding accuracy.

Monday through Friday for an eight-hour shift between the hours of 0630 and 1630 including a 30-minute meal break.
PAY:$32.46 per hour
