The Logistics Excellence Manager reports to the Divisional Logistics Director Hills. This position is mainly responsible for driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency projects and leading Reimagine Supply Chain initiatives (e.g. sustainability automation/digital solutions). This position will also support the management of key Global Hills 3PL relationships including Hills Global Ocean Freight Forwarders and will implement and facilitate our Divisional Logistics practices to share program and learnings through pre-scheduled bi-monthly role will not have any direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Drives Logistics (Warehouse Transportation and eCommerce) continuous improvement and cost efficiency projects
Lead/support key Reimagine logistics projects in collaboration with regional and global teams (e.g. sustainability automation/digital solutions)
Supports the CS&L FTG program globally including leading ideations sessions driving execution and ensuring project tracking and timely reporting
Liaises with Divisional Finance Regional logistics leaders and Global Customer Service and Logistics to share/apply best practices for productivity and cost efficiencies
Supports all Global 3PL tenders and transitions
Ensures compliance to Global tools and practices including roll out of Logistics Performance and reliability standards shares best practices and tools providing visibility of progress and escalating issues
Supports Management of relationships with global providers (Ocean Freight) and regional providers (as needed) to ensure adherence to service agreement and costs
Collaborates with providers to identify and implement new solutions
Supports annual tenders preparation and execution
Supports budget/LE preparation of logistics costs in collaboration with Divisional Finance
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance Logistics Operations Supply Chain Systems Mathematics or a related field
Minimum of 5 years supply chain or logistics experience
Proficient in Google suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent financial and analytical skills should be able to work with information to identify trends and exception conditions
Ability to handle multiple priorities work well under pressure and manage independently
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $106400.00 - $150000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profit-sharing and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision basic life insurance paid parental leave disability coverage and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employees hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
