Job Description
Hybrid (3 days onsite NYC)

Seeking a hands-on engineer (70% network 30% hybrid cloud) to design secure and operate a global environment: Cisco (switches/routers Meraki Client TACACS RADIUS) Palo Alto (Panorama) OSPF/BGP AWS/Azure networking (VPC/VNet TGW/peering VPN/ExpressRoute LB SG/NSG) VMware vSphere/ESXi Active Directory Windows Server Ubuntu HPE Pure Storage; automation via Terraform/Ansible/Puppet/Jenkins/PowerShell DSC; scripting in PowerShell/Bash/Python; monitoring with SolarWinds/Splunk/ELK.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate production networks/platforms; respond to incidents perform RCA and implement fixes
- Engineer and optimize LAN/MAN/WAN/Internet; configure Palo Alto policies and OSPF/BGP
- Administer wireless (WLC LAPs) and identity services (Client TACACS RADIUS)
- Build and secure AWS/Azure networking; integrate cloud and on-prem; manage multi-cloud workloads
- Automate provisioning/configuration; maintain infra CI/CD; script repetitive tasks
- Manage lifecycle: asset inventory procurement/installs upgrades/patches/hardening
- Document topologies standards and runbooks; follow change management
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation; drive continuous improvement and strategic projects
- Bachelors in a relevant field and 10 years technical experience (or equivalent)
- Deep expertise: Palo Alto (Panorama) Cisco routing/switching OSPF/BGP
- Hands-on: AWS/Azure networking VMware vCenter/ESXi AD Windows/Ubuntu
- Automation: Terraform Ansible/Puppet Jenkins PowerShell DSC; scripting in PowerShell/Bash/Python
- Experience in financial services environments; strongly preferred (integration networking/security controls compliance alignment)
- Strong communication customer focus and troubleshooting; flexible for occasional after-hours work and travel
