Job Profile Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator position is responsible for planning scheduling executing documenting and leading East Houston Maintenance. This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor develop detailed work plans timeline schedules and compiling contractor estimates for maintenance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Plans and schedules complex maintenance activities that include but are not limited to: requests for contractor bids writing/reviewing job plans decommissioning plans and maintenance schedules.
Provides knowledge of the facility procedures regulations SIP requirements DOT requirements and best practices.
Communicates maintenance schedules and job plans.
Solicits stakeholder feedback.
Assists and perform EPOC duties.
Reviews Work Orders with operations prior to performing tasks.
Schedules work for maintenance team.
Reviews equipment reliability.
Assesses the effectiveness of the preventative maintenance (PM) program and frequencies.
Writes preventative maintenance procedures.
Manages small and large maintenance projects.
Completes pre-start-up safety reviews.
Completes Empty Tank Reports.
Assist or lead training for new or modified equipment with the operations team.
Participates in and performs maintenance activities including but not limited to: such as LOTO bolt work blinds tubing troubleshooting equipment rebuilding valves pulling motors draining down equipment scheduling/operating vac trucks filter changing removing water etc.
Required to operate facility equipment such as forklifts backhoe skid steer trucks vacuum truck air compressors and generators.
Organize and maintain warehouse supplies and spare parts ensure sensitive materials are properly secured maintain special supplies and equipment as needed. Complete purchase orders (PO) AFEs and MSA/RFSs for contractors.
Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions including operations maintenance or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions and where impaired performance or failure to follow safety precautions could result in serious injury or property damage.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelors degree or vocational certificate preferred.
Work Experience
3 years of related job experience required
Requires extensive knowledge of maintenance tasks.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Requires strong Microsoft Office skills.
Requires basic mathematical skills including converting decimals and fractions.
Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing in English
Ability to: communicate effectively with supervisors co-workers internal and external customers
Ability to: work under time pressure tight deadlines and interruptions
Ability to: use a personal computer with the Windows operating system to complete timesheets send and receive e-mail and access information posted on the Companys intranet
Ability to: follow instructions or standard procedures
Ability to: compile and/or examine information and select the best action from defined alternatives
Ability to: provide 24-hour per day/7 days per week on-call support as needed
Licenses and Certifications
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card required
Drivers license required
Ability to operate a forklift and qualify in a certification program required
