Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The ECI Group Supplier Contract Manager is tasked with managing global supplier activities focusing on operational efficiency adherence to agreed delivery schedules and cost control and quality assurance. This role involves overseeing the procurement and delivery of supplier goods and services at competitive prices while implementing risk mitigation strategies for the organization. Ensure all contract commitments comply with company policies and procedures. Duties include administering global supplier contracts and cultivating professional relationships with suppliers. This position is available in either the Baton Rouge Louisiana or Manchester England office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic supplier engagements. Develop and execute supplier sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply. Identify evaluate and onboard new strategic suppliers aligned with the ECI Group long-term business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation. Define and track strategic supplier KPIs (quality delivery cost innovation).
- Oversee supplier development initiatives to enhance performance and collaborate with various functions to identify cost and process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct regular reviews of suppliers and implement corrective measures to address performance issues and minimize contracting risk.
- Prepare and review Request for Quotations. Evaluate proposals and negotiate terms and conditions between ECI Group. Lead contract negotiations to establish agreed terms and conditions. Manage contract renewals and purchase order amendments while ensuring suppliers compliance with contract requirements.
- Strong focus on expediting High Pressure equipment packages with Key Strategic Suppliers involving visits to supplier facilities.
- Assist project and estimating team in obtaining pricing for Total Installed Cost estimates.
- Lead multi-functional teams to investigate cost reduction and/or times initiatives.
- Perform home office or shop expediting for materials and/or services delivery when necessary.
- Develop strategies to reduce supplier costs and reduce delivery times.
- Work closely with operations on improving operational efficiency through effective supplier management. Monitor compliance with corporate policies.
- Bachelors Degree
- 15 to 20 years of procurement experience in the petrochemical industry specifically with an EPC firm engineering firm or supplier manufacturing setting.
- Experience in the high-pressure polyethylene industry is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of and proven experience with global supply chain and sourcing practices with a high aptitude in strategic analysis and problem-solving.
- Must have a thorough understanding of and experience with Incoterms for shipping.
- Experience in strategic sourcing including working on supplier contract development and negotiation as well as sourcing and securing services internationally.
- Strong experience in expediting high-pressure equipment package suppliers with emphasis on static and rotating equipment pipework and valves.
- Excellent soft skills in negotiations written and verbal communications and stakeholder management.
- Strong data analysis skills with Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Cross-functional leadership ability
- Preferred Certification(s): CIPS CPM CPSM CPIM NAPM ISM or APICS affiliation
- Must be able to work in either the US or UK without sponsorship.
