The Budget and Audit Technician is an important position and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of business significance. This position is responsible for preparing necessary documents for the external audit and overseeing the process reviewing reconciliations audit work and NEBMAC functions. This position is responsible for developing audit programs and internal procedural guidelines and performing internal audits throughout the school district. The position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all personnel financial allocations; working with the development and monitoring of a position budget system; and auditing and reconciling work assignments through coordination with schools departments and administrators to ensure the alignment of personnel costs with district-wide staffing plan. This position will work with the budget preparation including development of the overall district budget and budget book development of presentation materials and maintenance of the computerized budget system.
Calendar: 8 hrs/day 260 days
Pay Range: $65000 to $75000
