The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Childrens Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology attending to join the Acute Care Oncology team in Seattle Washington. Position is full-time at the Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Professor of Clinical Practice level. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience qualifications and academic rank. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research and service. Anticipated start date is Fall 2025.
Responsibilities include providing in-hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients and supervision and clinical teaching of residents. Applicants should be comfortable with the inpatient care of sick children.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research and service.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors of Clinical Practice MD $13085 - $19627 per month ($157020 - $235524 annually) Associate Professors of Clinical Practice MD $16168 - $24250 per month ($194016 - $291000 annually) Professors of Clinical Practice MD $20335 - $30502 per month ($244020 - $366024 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in university benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Childrens University Medical Group practice plan. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).
Applicants must have a MD DO or foreign equivalent degree pediatric board certification and board-eligibility/board-certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Must be currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the state of Washington.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
