Join us! GoFundMe is looking for a dedicated Full Stack Software Engineer Intern to help build integral parts of our platform. The ideal candidate is familiar with both frontend and backend web development. We are looking for someone capable of creating user experiences in React and JavaScript and also working on our backend stack with PHP and Node. We want to talk to you if you love transforming designs and mockups into user experiences for the web love writing APIs want to grow your AWS Cloud experience and are interested in learning more about how modern development teams deliver SaaS applications.

This is a 10 week internship program that runs from May 27th 2026 to August 7th 2026. The program will be based in San Francisco CA and interns will be expected onsite three days per week.

The Job.

• Work alongside other full time Software Engineers of all experience levels on a production development team.
• Take part in the teams agile development processes completing user stories and other tasks that enter the teams sprint.
• Contribute solutions to our frontend applications in React JavaScript and Typescript.
• Contribute solutions to our backend applications in PHP and Node.
• Work in our Jest and PHPUnit testing frameworks.
• Receive mentorship and coaching from some of the best technical minds in the industry.

You

• Experience in a 4 year Computer Science degree program Bootcamp or relevant work experience elsewhere in our industry.
• Familiarity with JavaScript TypesScriptReact Node and PHP.
• Familiarity with API development.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Comfortable with working in a remote and distributed environment
• Ability to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Familiarity with Git & Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with AWS.

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00. As this is a hybrid position the pay rate was determined by role level and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
