AWS Cloud Ops Engineer (NV1 Clearance)

What youll do

• Client Collaboration:Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver cloud-native network solutions.

• Network Design and Implementation:Manage and improve high-performance resilient and scalable network solutions on AWS leveraging services such as VPC Transit Gateway Direct Connect Route 53 CloudFront Elastic Load Balancing (NLB/ALB) Global Accelerator and Network Firewall.

• Sovereign Cloud and Environment Management:Manage and operate secure AWS Sovereign Cloud environments that meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Oversee the full lifecycle of client environments including provisioning configuration maintenance and continuous improvement to ensure security availability and compliance.

• Network Security:Manage comprehensive security measures including web application firewalls (WAF) intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) network segmentation and security groups to protect client infrastructure and applications.

• Performance Optimisation:Continuously monitor network performance and health proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and optimise network configurations for optimal efficiency and responsiveness. Use advanced monitoring tools and analytics to predict and prevent issues.

• Modernisation and Automation:Modernise legacy networks optimise performance and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation CDK).

• On-Call Support:Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide timely incident response troubleshoot critical production issues and ensure high availability of client environments.

What were looking for

• Must holdNV1 clearanceor above

• AWS Cloud Ops Experience:Hands-on experience with AWS networking sovereign cloud and modern cloud architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP BGP OSPF) routing switching firewalls VPNs and load balancing.

• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python Bash) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform CloudFormation CDK).

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch Prometheus ELK Stack).

• Certifications:AWS Certified Advanced Networkingis a plus!
