Project Manager Municipal Drinking Water
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Municipal Drinking Water team leading complex engineering projects such as drinking water treatment facilities pump stations and water storage tank design and construction. This role requires managing highly technical projects mentoring engineering teams and ensuring successful delivery of projects while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering project teams through all phases of design and construction ensuring safety quality compliance and timely delivery.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients developing trusted relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project schedules budgets scope and resources to ensure financial and operational success.
Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers fostering professional development and leadership skills.
Apply conventional and advanced water treatment technologies to address complex water quality challenges.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to produce deliverables that meet internal QA/QC standards and client expectations.
Oversee procurement permitting project controls contracts subcontracts and change orders as needed.
Identify business development opportunities lead proposals and support client retention and expansion.
Participate in regional water and wastewater professional organizations and provide insights on industry trends to the leadership team.
Support project teams in document control cost management scheduling and other project management functions.
Address technical challenges resolve design or construction issues and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field from an accredited program required.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience with at least 3 years managing engineering projects; a Masters degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Previous consulting experience preferred.
Professional registration preferred.
Demonstrated success in project management client relationship building and team leadership strongly preferred.
Prior experience in construction project sites or program management in municipal water energy government commercial or industrial sectors preferred.
Strong analytical problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
Ability to present complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; experience with scheduling cost control and document control tools preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Must be able to work overtime as needed and adapt to changing project requirements.
