Are you currently enrolled in a graduate program and seeking clinical hours toward your LMFT MSW CSWE or LPCC licensure Do you have a passion for working with foster youth and want to gain hands-on experience in a supportive mission-driven environment Alternative Family Services (AFS) is now accepting applications for Clinical Interns to join our Santa Rosa Mental Health team! This is a community-based internship offering flexible scheduling* clinical supervision and valuable training in family-based mental health counseling support and crisis intervention for children youth and families and the role is 20 hours weekly. What Youll Do As a Clinical Intern you will work under the supervision of a licensed clinician and: - Provide individual and family-based mental health support guided by the clients treatment plan
- Participate in Family Team Conferences staff meetings and collaborative planning sessions
- Assist with treatment planning and goal setting in coordination with care teams
- Engage youth in meaningful and developmentally appropriate activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards
- Provide transportation and support to clients in community settings
- Participate in an on-call emergency response rotation (as needed)
What Were Looking For - Current enrollment in a Masters-level program (LMFT MSW CSWE LPCC track)
- Seeking clinical practicum or internship placement for supervised hours
- Experience or strong interest in working with youth in foster care or Wraparound settings
- Reliable transportation valid CA drivers license and auto insurance
- Cultural competency and commitment to trauma-informed care
- Ability to maintain boundaries and professionalism in challenging situations
- Commitment to learning growth and contributing to a collaborative team
